Show Notes
- In the warmup this week, Gary finished reading an epic sci-fi series. He also mentioned the movie Wandering Earth’s trailer. Kevin started to port the Renderific SVG renderer from Atari 8-bit to Apple II. Leo says there’s a somewhat leaner and meaner askleo.com website. Of particular note: printing? Microsoft’s Edge for Mac browser now available in preview.
- Leo says Adobe is telling users they may be sued for using old versions of Photoshop (via Vice).
- Kevin is interested in “fake artists” created by Spotify and by music publishers. Can art be fake? (via Rolling Stone)
I would like to see a way to click on an item being discussed in an episode, e.g., two factor authen., and it take you to that section of the audio for this week. I know that the show notes often give you a link to another news source, e.g., “Google’s own data proves two-factor authentication”, but I would like to hear your take on it without having to search through the whole hour. When I try it, I just am taken back to the beginning of the week’s broadcast. Am I missing something here?
Not at all. That kind of tech is surprisingly difficult and I don’t think our current set of tools support it. We’ll definitely keep it in mind, though.
